ECHO Updates for Emergency Medical Services

The EMS ECHO works to improve health outcomes in prehospital settings by developing advanced skills and best practices.


Prehospital clinicians, EMTs, Paramedics, Critical Care/Flight and Specialty Transport clinicians, Ambulance services, Physician Medical Directors, EMS Educators, and other professionals are encouraged to join.


Sessions will be held from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm CST every 2nd Wednesday of the month.


This ECHO offers free continuing education credits for qualifying health care professionals with collaboration, support, and ongoing learning with specialist physicians and other experts.


Some of the topics for learning and discussion include the following:

  • Patient refusals

  • Ketamine psychiatric emergencies

  • Opioid overdoses

  • Special needs

  • Child/elder abuse

  • Drug diversion/EMS wellness

  • Disaster and MCI

  • Stroke

  • Cardiac arrest

  • Environmental emergencies

  • Trauma

  • Alternative destinations
